Carbon footprint
Our ISO 14001 accreditation works alongside our flexible working policy, which empowers our employees to work wherever they like. In fact, we’ve spearheaded a number of initiatives to help our employees achieve a great work/life balance, while also minimising our environmental footprint:
- Job-sharing
- Flexitime
- Compressed hours
- Term-time working
We’ve embedded flexible working into our culture at Olive, but we’re not stopping there. We’re aiming to replace our entire vehicle fleet with hybrid cars by 2022.
Paperless communications
We operate several schemes to reduce waste. Our paperless initiative allows us to go paper-free, including contract signatures. Our strict Printer Policy looks to reduce energy consumption and consumable waste unless deemed absolutely necessary.
We utilise a variety of collaboration tools that let employees share documents electronically and work together online, helping reduce the amount of paper waste we produce as a business.
Waste reduction
We use a wide range of technologies at Olive. Because of that, we understand the need for disposing waste in a manner that’s both responsible and respectful. Therefore, we adhere to all regulations concerning environmental schemes and dispose of our technology equipment in line with WEEE regulations.
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, Olive recycles domestic plastic goods and printer cartridges, but we also aim to reduce our single use plastics by providing filtered water pumps in our office.
Digital health & safety management
We’re committed to reducing our paper usage. That’s where our all-in-one health and safety compliance management software, Safetybank, comes in. Safetybank features a centralised, online system to manage our health and safety documentation. Safetybank enables us to manage and monitor the safety of our entire team from one easy-to-use dashboard.
